Just wondering about using white sand versus green sand in filling divots? What is the general opinion?

I'm seldom in the fairway, but I seem to cross it often going to my ball from one line of trees to the other and I empty about a bucket of sand a round filling divots. It's amazing how many times it looks like three of four divots are left within a one foot circle (practice swings or Scramble?). Surely who ever left that mess could have filled.

Golfers can help a lot in the maintenance of their course by taking a few small steps during their round. Filling divots and repairing ball marks take just a few moments and can help tremendously in the appearance of the golf course.

As I played my regular Saturday round, the subject of maintenance on our golf course came up and a question was asked, 'what can we do to help'. One area that we focused on was filling divots of the par 3 tees. A box of sand is provided at each par 3 tee, but is seldom if ever used. I took the time to fill my divot as well as any others. Didn't take 2 minutes and made a lot of difference in appearance.
